Industrial packaging fails differently than consumer packaging. There is no shelf appeal to worry about, but there is real load weight, forklift handling, rough warehouse floors, and shipping stress to survive, and a failure here usually means a damaged load rather than just a complaint. Heavy-duty shipping sacks and pallet covers have to hold up under weight and abrasion they were not always specifically designed for, and liners for bulk totes and boxes have to contain product without splitting at a seam or a stress point.

Puncture and tear resistance drive most of the structural decisions in this category. A film that is technically strong in tensile testing can still fail in the field if it tears easily once a small puncture starts, so we look at both properties together rather than optimizing one at the expense of the other. Gauge, resin selection, and in some cases multi-layer structures are all tools we use to get the toughness a specific load profile actually requires.

Stretch film adds another layer of demand: it has to hold a load together under tension without tearing during application, then maintain that hold through transport and storage. We build stretch film around the load weight, pallet pattern, and handling method a customer actually uses, rather than a generic stretch wrap spec.
