About Prime Film Extrusion
Prime Film Extrusion was built on a simple idea: packaging decisions should be made by people who understand the production floor, not just a sales sheet. Every recommendation we make is informed by decades of hands-on blown film experience.
Where We Started
Prime Film Extrusion grew out of a production floor, not a boardroom. Our team built its reputation by solving the kinds of problems that show up at 2 a.m. on a running line: bubble instability, seal failures, gauge variation, and the dozens of small variables that separate a good roll of film from a wasted one.
That floor-level perspective still shapes how we work today. We do not sell film. We solve packaging problems, and film happens to be the result.
How We Work
Every project starts with the application, not the resin. We ask what the film needs to survive, seal, protect, or display before we talk about layers, gauge, or additives. That order matters. It is the difference between a film that technically meets a spec and a film that performs in the real world.
Our engineering team stays involved from material selection through first production run, so the structure that gets approved in a conversation is the structure that performs on your line.
Why Manufacturers Work With Us
We publish what we know. The Library, Glossary, Materials Guide, and Ask Rod video series exist because most packaging buyers are not film scientists, and they should not have to become one just to ask a good question. We would rather you understand the tradeoffs than just trust a quote.
