Can you match a resin to a specific cold-temperature requirement?

Standard LDPE and many general-purpose LLDPE blends lose impact strength as temperature drops, which is exactly when a lot of packaging failures show up, in the freezer aisle, in cold trucks, or in winter outdoor storage. If you tell us the lowest temperature the film needs to survive and what kind of stress it will see there, drop, flex, stacking, we can select a resin blend engineered for that range rather than assuming a standard formulation will hold up.

Metallocene LLDPE is usually the first lever we reach for on cold-temperature applications, since it maintains dart impact and tear strength at low temperatures better than conventional LLDPE or LDPE. Depending on the rest of the requirements, we will blend it in rather than run it straight, to balance cost and the other properties the film still needs at room temperature.

This is a case where guessing is expensive. A film that performs fine at room temperature but turns brittle in a freezer will fail in the field, not in our testing, so we always ask about the coldest real-world condition the product will see before finalizing a structure.
