Can you make UV-resistant film for outdoor agricultural use?

Outdoor agricultural film faces a different failure mode than most packaging film, sustained UV exposure breaks down polymer chains over time, leading to embrittlement, cracking, and early failure long before mechanical wear would normally be a concern. We address this by compounding a UV-stabilizing masterbatch directly into the resin formulation, which slows that degradation and extends the usable life of the film in full sun.

How much UV protection a structure needs depends on expected exposure time. A silage or bale wrap film that does its job in weeks needs less UV stabilization than a multi-season greenhouse or mulch film that has to survive a full growing season or longer outdoors. We size the stabilizer package to the actual exposure window rather than over-engineering every roll the same way.
