Printed film for liquid beverage packaging has to feed and seal on your machine with the actual drink. Start with the beverage and filling conditions, then confirm the film structure and roll dimensions before paying for a printed run.

Prime Film can review your brief and proposed trial as part of our printed film and rollstock work. Send your machine model and beverage details so we can review production fit and any partner-converting requirements.

Describe the Drink and the Filling Process

State whether the drink is carbonated and how it is processed. Include filling temperature and the conditions in which the finished packs are stored. A film selected for one beverage process should not be carried into another without review.

Give the fill volume and intended package shape. Tell us whether the package has a spout or is formed and sealed directly from a roll. The required product and process review comes before a shelf-life commitment.

A Machine Model Is the Start of the Specification

Send the film requirements from your own machine manual. The model name helps identify the line, but it does not establish compatibility by itself. Film width is only one part of the fit.

DetailWhat the supplier needs
Width and thicknessValues and allowed ranges from the machine specification, with units.
Repeat and registrationThe design spacing and mark position used to control the cut.
Roll and windingCore size, maximum outside diameter and unwind drawing.
Sealing conditionsThe line's accepted material and process information for review.
Beverage and storageThe actual product and how filled packs will be handled and stored.

Separate Artwork Approval From Film Approval

Start with the machine's package drawing. Place the design around the sealing and cutting areas before finalizing artwork. Include the registration mark and the direction the design must unwind.

Agree on the material and production color review. A screen proof can confirm text and layout, but it cannot show how a roll tracks through the line. Ask what remains to be checked on the printed trial.

Run a Filled-Pack Trial Before the Full Order

  1. Confirm the proposed material and intended-use documentation.
  2. Agree on a trial quantity with the people running the line.
  3. Run the actual beverage under the intended filling conditions.
  4. Inspect feeding, print registration and the completed seals.
  5. Complete the agreed handling and product-storage checks before approval.

Record settings and results against the trial roll. Ask the product team to define the required seal and package checks. A roll that feeds smoothly has passed one part of the trial; that result alone does not establish beverage shelf life.

Price the Trial and Production Separately

Ask for trial availability before setting the test date. Request the trial charge and any print setup beside the production minimum. Ask what must be approved before the production lead time begins.

If an unprinted trial can settle the material question first, discuss that option before funding custom print. The right sequence depends on which decision is holding up your order.

Request a Beverage-Film Review

Send Prime Film your beverage-film project. Include the machine manual or current film specification when available. Our sample and machine-trial guide explains the rest of the information needed for a focused trial request.
